If Verdugo is the outside add that's not great. He's not Soto Teo or Santander but he's pretty comparable to other guys signed this offseason. Babip killed him in 24'(.253) he probably plays too much vs LHP but only 28 with some room to grow. Solid major league corner guy. IMO

So I can see a Skenes extension looking somewhere between this and the Yamamoto 12yr $325m. Thinking 12 yrs $320m in total with opt outs after yr 8 and a 3 yr team option after that at 150m.
8 yrs 160m for the team guaranteed. $325m for Paul. Possible $475m.

Good show but gotta say some of the Dodgers stuff comes off a bit short sighted. LA can do what they do because of this not some level of trying or investing. Also they have to be liquid to show they have the deferred $ every yr if only for a day. Only team able to do this at any larger scale.

Chapmans first 7 and last 6 outings were really strong the rest entire middle of the year was blah to bad.
