Their power and water was supplied constantly and funded by Israel. Hamas received hundreds of millions of dollars for infrastructure, and guess what they did with that. The situation is dire, but this time, hamas control will eventually end, and by that I wish gaza a better future. Inshallah.

They are not the targets in the eyes of Israel. If they were the targets, Israel wouldnt give them 24h to evacuate the north. Eventually they get hurt because of hamas, you can't take that out of the equation.

People of Gaza are not targets, but the fact is that hamas is holding them hostage. There were also a few attempts from gazans to rebel, but it was quickly silenced by violence.

Genuinely curious, if you were in this side (100+ kidnapped 800+ dead 2000+ wounded, and dealing with a terrorist ruled land that has a brutal ideology and values of killing all Israelis), how would you act differently? I too don't belive in such extreme measures, but saw many other failed attempts

As I see it, both sides are not aiming peace, at the current situation. And I (as opposed to the author, who found himself justifying murderers that beheaded and shot civilians in cold blood while laughing) do not claim the Israeli government is all roses. I disagree with their actions often.

Personally, I am constantly following both Israeli and Palestinian media, and I encourage you to do so too. Looking at this event in the eyes of a single side is wrong, in my mind. I personally changed my mind a few times in the past.
