Fall is definitely my favorite season. I love the colors and the cooler temperatures. However, the most impressive thing for me is how nature reminds us, to embrace change and let go.

“It came to me that every time I lose a dog, they take a piece of my heart with them and every new dog who comes into my life gifts me with a piece of their heart. If I live long enough, all the components of my heart will be dog and I will become as generous and loving as they are.” - Diane Keaton

Friday afternoon, relax, enjoying the last sun rays of the day, watching the world outside, quietly, no rush.

Yesterday traveling back home in Charlotte Douglas terminal E (I believe it was at gate E17), somebody with a kind and positive heart and a child’s soul had this on his/her desk. I don’t know who you are, but thank you!

Interesting reading…
The NY Times says this administration considers diversity "taboo."

A healthy democracy includes a robust appreciation f/ diversity & widespread civic participation.

Research from the last 10+ years shows Christian nationalism threatens democracy in at least 3 ways:

A puertorrican saying summarizes the statement below very well, “dime con quién andas y te diré quién eres”. Tell me who you hang out with and I'll tell you who you are.
The best way to gauge others’ values isn’t to ask them directly. It’s to find out who they respect.

Shallow people are impressed by superficiality. They look up to beauty, fame, money, and power.

Deep people are drawn to substance. They admire wisdom, kindness, humility, and integrity.
