Have you tried tabnine recently?
I've tried it ~4 years ago, it was slow and meh back then, the local models just didn't work well.
Curious if it's still slow/bad or is it bias from past experience.

Children books illustrators are in shambles

Same, it's nice to have that "extra" quiet

Any currency is good as long as you can buy stuff with it.
The numbers are nice either way!

I agree, lots of services could be this way, but they force you to have an account so they can gather data and pester you with promotional material, which sucks.
They've also restructured their pricing to be a lot more palatable, the original price was way too high.

I so rarely have to deal with CSS that I feel that investing time in a course will not be efficient, as I won't use it enough to remember any of the material.
On the upside, I get to enjoy your blog when googling for answers! :)

The numbers that I'm familiar with are: 4-5 stories tall buildings, these are ideal for a sense of connection/familiarity and community.
The street itself is perfect though 🥹

Regarding CSS, is there a succinct 101 for the rules that I can use as a cheatsheet?
January 5, 2025 at 11:22 AM
I stand corrected on the mechanics of it.
The dilution/chewing of content is real though.

You're right on the money with this.
99% of the news/thought pieces can be done in less than 5 mins. But gotta stretch it for 10, repeating the same points over and over again, to hit the 10 min youtube payout mark.

It's tiring.

This is misdirection, they're doing this to obfuscate the less obviously harmful aspects of AI.

Ahahah, I like the pedantic parentheses, you know your audience well 😂

Brilliant seems to be doing what they advertise, so there's that I guess. I use it to get an interactive introduction to a topic.

What can be done to hold them accountable for this?
What can we do as a community to help?
December 9, 2024 at 12:25 PM
They have to be held accountable for this. It's absurd that they can do this spray and pray approach, hurt legitimate websites and get away with it like nothing happened.

I've noticed that people coming from strongly typed languages to TS, had more issues with it than less.
They see types and expect them to work a certain way. The see an assertion and call it convertion.
There's a fundamental misunderstanding of what TS is, that leads to "fun times in production".

Too many features no one asked for, their forums have issues up for years with tons of upvotes but no fixes in sight, the server shtick is cool and lots of companies are using it as their community hub. But I feel like another annoying feature or two, and imma open a teamspeak server again.

Reverse the order and ots about right. Pretty web was harsh. Web3 is not on the mind of the common people ATM. It's a goofy toy for people who want to play with it.

Thank you, this is exactly the summary I was looking for 🙏

Out of curiosity, what usecases do you have for pmtiles?
October 3, 2024 at 12:07 PM
I feel npm support in deno2 is a step in the right direction, but might be a little too late.
Bunjs stole a lot of the limelight, and for a good reason - it's fast and does everything in a familiar way.
Node is experimenting with native TS support.
Its going to be interesting for sure.
