Mostly thinking about games, tech and useless knowledge. And podcasting on those topics (and more) is my kind of therapy, apparently.
When the next PlayStation and Xbox rear their heads with performance claim, you can bet they'll be based not on actual performance but on the post-ML image scaling and frame generation.

So what we have no idea what's really what. It's going to be a hot mess, PR-wise.

"The lesson learned from Switch 2 is bespoke optimisation for a specific architecture actually does yield benefits."

So... bespoke things are better at bespoke things?

My dear Digital Foundry lot, you're great. Right up until you decide to hype common knowledge for no reason or benefit.

Have you really made it in Big Tech if you’re not on a “journey” to create an “experience” and instead you’re just building better features?

So, according to a Microsoft survey, "technical quality" in games refers to graphics quality.

So, I guess, if a game a slideshow but has awesome graphics, its technical quality is sky high, right?

A month after the launch of PS5 Pro, the comms around it are still so murky not much is clear to anyone, either pro or consumer, expert or novice, so Sony is doing the rounds now, after the fact, with actual deep dives in video and interview form.

For a hot second there I thought I was finally ready to record a podcast episode for Persona 5 Tactica. Something felt off with my notes though.

Oh, right. No proper notes on the soundtrack. Oh well, I'll go through it now.

Turns out, it has 102 tracks and goes on for 5 hours 26 minutes.

I also watched the two modern Dune films back to back. I had my fun, I still have room in my heart for Lynch's take but I'm now turning to TV Dune and Children Of Dune because I do feel like 12 more hours of Dune will be good for me.

After avoiding it for so long, I watched The Matrix Resurrections.

First half? Pure Matrix.

Second half? Pure Marvel.

Why? Just why? Even the choreography was off, which I didn't expect.

So IGN bought all of ReedPop's gaming websites. Some have been laid off on the UK side.

People moan about consolidation in gaming, but consolidation on the Press side isn't as sexy though I'd argue it's far more dangerous.
