The Touch Bar is partially dead: the third section from the right blinks randomly in sleep mode, and when it’s awake, the entire right edge just… doesn’t show anything.

The saga of my 2016 MacBook Pro (15” Touch Bar) continues…
The Touch Bar is partially dead: the third section from the right blinks randomly in sleep mode, and when it’s awake, the entire right edge just… doesn’t show anything.

MacBook Pro Touch Bar late 2016
After multiple key caps replacement, keyboard replacement (with chassis replacement) the battery decided to fail.😭
It doesn’t even close 😆
And of course it’s now “vintage” so Apple won’t service it.
I’m good for a diy battery swap ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Cheapest solution is an external ssd.
It’s not a soldered ssd so I can replace it but I don’t know if the motherboard is still ok.
