When I first started work my grandfather insisted I join a union. He said it’s better to be in a union, even if it’s a bad one. He was right; unions have benefited me and colleagues immensely over the last 45+ years.

In the earlier days of the web US .gov sites could be relied upon as being authoritative - this gave the US significant soft and cultural power. It’s so sad that this is no longer the case and is a clear sign how diminished the US has become.

…it could make quite a splash depending on the artist. One famous Floyd bootleg, out late 1974/early 75 was Tour 74, a whole album of new (at the time) material - Raving & Drooling, Gotta be Crazy & Shine on you Crazy Diamond.

Still, £200 is a hell of a lot of cash.

1/3 I think the offer isn’t just for the music but for the packaging and additional printed material. In the days when there was a lively trade in bootleg albums, if someone put something out in a decent cover (not the usual blank white sleeve with a poorly mimeographed sheet)….

I watched Abigail’s vid earlier in the week. It’s a pretty good summary of the period. It could also be titled “Becoming Pink Floyd”. She’s right; Echoes is when Floyd became Floyd. 1/2
