Yes, if I remember correctly you can feed it a bit of raw hamburger meat if no flies have ventured into your home of late. I imagine any insect will work, I’d be interested in seeing what kind of different protein sources it can break down.

Publishing companies are very weird about what they think will sell, and that’s all that matters. Not that the thing is good, just will it SELL. A lot of them don’t like to take chances. I get the caffeine free because caffeine can give me heart problems sometimes, but the other thing it often does is make me sleepy. So yeah, it might not hurt to check out that possibility.
