It's been years since I played any, but I remember the absolute torture of playing the original on 3DS virtual console where there was a bug with warping....so i walked EVERYWHERE. It was much more fun when I got to the second game lmao

I also want to mention that you don't need a top of the line computer for a ren'py game! I made mine on a horrible laptop and it worked completely fine. You also don't really need any coding knowledge, it's pretty easy to figure out.

Once you download the engine, there's a really in depth tutorial and a pre-made game that you can look at the script for and copy things as needed. You'll have to download a script editor (like vscode) and then you're all set! I recommend looking at the Lemma Soft forums for tutorials too

I assume from your other post that you don't have a laptop to use ren'py on, but I would suggest writing it on your phone so you could transfer it more easily one day when you get a laptop and can use something other than google slides!

We'll see about that (in other words, it will probably still be depressing lmao)

I'm working on another (hopefully longer) visual novel in this universe, and I have some plans to explain more about the "game" it's set in.
