Yes - during breaks while xc skiing or snowshoeing. Melt here is closing more trails. Italy has similar issues & they need to make snow to keep on snow events happening. Too warm to make snow here. Major annual events eg Birkie, cancelled due to lack of snow. Sad.

Then City Staff could deliver appropriate barricades as with other city events. Street closure notices provided to all homes on the block. Signage posted a week in advance to notify drivers, cyclists etc. Just like other events like athletic events, filming etc.

This motion should be refined and presented next August just before the next city elections. It should have city staff prepared with an expedited process for neighbourhood blocks to apply for a street closure (maybe ok if 50% of homes approve).

Seems like a badly worded and timed attempt to me. Also the graphic looks like 5 councillors voted to approve the idea but the description indicates otherwise.

ABC is managing the city as effectively as it can be given the challenging times they have and are facing. No harm in doing a review for further efficiencies so resources can be allocated for more benefits for residents.

Guess bitcoin is reality now. Might be helping fund future campaigns. When quantum computers break the bitcoin encryption, then game over unless a switch is made to a quantum encryption algorithm.

Well I suspect you already have everything most of us have but David Jordan might have some interesting memorabilia. I have over 20 years of programs, vol t-shirts, assorted show handouts, ... but only the t-shirts (small size :) are handy.

Many organizations will cover the university tuition for their employees. Not much support for trades so that is a priority for government support at this time.

I like your background in law and cycling advocacy perspective that is much needed. Now basic economics is that if you subsidize something for consumers, demand will increase and if you subsidize something for producers, supply will increase - subject to elasticities of course

Dinosaur's gasping for air. At the speed politicians and bureaucrats move, they will be gone before they can get much benefit and we will be having solar/nuclear power electricity powering nearly everything including self driving vehicles. Now I like some of the old things like my slide rule 👴😁
