I finally got the courage to try and smoke a brisket yesterday, and gawddamn it turned out so much better than I expected 😭 the bark was crispy and the meat tender and juicy. I think I earned a dad level-up

I had another amazing FWA this year, and also as usual I didn't take nearly enough pics! But this time I got to go around in suit!!! I was super happy to get him and try it out and man it was worth the wait! Can't wait for AC next

I just made a batch of (actually very tasty) corn tortillas *entirely* from scratch, starting with corn I grew over the summer, treated with wood ashes from my smoker. Feeling very proud of myself. This bear can cook!
