03: Squirrel Cookies

I recently learned that these cookies are called 'swirl' cookies not 'squirrel' cookies.
This still doesn't explain why the New Horizons' squirrel villager, Cally is not named Cookie since her tail look like a swirl cookie!

Chrysanthemum Stream

There's a legend where if you drink from a stream where the chrysanthemum petals fell you would be blessed with longevity. One of the reasons September is known as known as 長月 (Nagatsuki) or long month in addition to the longer nights.

June is the month of water and no water signifying the end of the rainy season but plenty of rain for the rice fields. I exchanged the red clouds for the edge of an oil-paper umbrella since June 11th is umbrella day in Japan.
