From mama: Little Miss Etta was at the vet Saturday because she was constipated. Dr. Trent squeezed her to see what was going on, and said he wanted to see her again in a few days for worming and her first distemper shot, which happened yesterday. She's otherwise healthy and about six weeks old.

They also can sometimes get better prices for the stuff that people often donate, so a dollar donated directly gets more than a dollar's worth of stuff you buy at the grocery store.

If you give canned/boxed foods, make sure you check the expiration dates.
