occasionally blogging at yduman.dev
I spent the last days writing a lengthy blog post about my AI journey on a brownfield modernization project, focusing on the last six months of it where I heavily used Claude Code, and how my workflow changed completely. Enjoy!

New blog post! After lots of procrastination and vacation vibes, I wrote about the hidden dangers when using JSON.stringify in Node.js. We accidentally stumbled upon this in a debugging process and I thought it was worth sharing. Enjoy!

Interesting:

Meta created React Native. It’s used (with components at least) in their flagship apps: Facebook (iOS, Android), Instagram (Meta Quest), Messenger (desktop).

Google created Flutter. And yet none of their flagship apps use it (Gmail, YouTube, Maps, Calendar).

When software inevitably grows it becomes hard to keep a quality overview. Which code needs urgent refactoring, which code is complex but only known by one author, which code cannot be modified in isolation?
