High-speed ballistic threats are always bigger and more difficult. PAC3 MSE needs to be tested and updated frequently. Not only PAC, but also THAAD. THAAD missed in Israel, which should not have happened.

I'd be confused if it doesn't have capabilities that the AIM120 doesn't. Just modernize the AIM120 and call it the AIM120E. Even Israel's Iron Dome can intercept short range rockets. If the AIM260 can't intercept anything faster than the AIM120, not sure why it's not called the AIM120E.

Do you think AIM260 will adopt PAC3's Divert and Attitude Control System to enable it to have Hit-To-Kill capability to intercept BM/HGV. Or will it adopt adaptive fuze to make it explode in front of high-speed objects, allowing fragments to hit high-speed BM/HGV (like SM6)?
