The amazing discussions I had at LessOnline shifted me from roughly "dire" to merely "grim" on AI x-risk! I now think there is real time for epistemic infrastructure to make the difference, and am pursuing a startup in this space.

What would you guess is the most someone you know, who makes <$120k, would happily pay for a 220 nm lamp (safe for humans, but disables viruses, bacteria, and yeasts) with a radiant flux of 37 watts? Assume it's portable enough to sanitize a house, but not take out and about.
