Please forgive me for misunderstanding your position on this subject. It might help if we more thoroughly define what it is we’re arguing for/against? That way neither of us unintentionally straw-man one-another’s argument. You seem to be making a positive claim (?) so I will let you start.

As for the bit about the reliability of oral tradition: If someone 300 years ago wrote down “today I dropped a brick and instead of falling it flew into the sky and 500 people witnessed it” should we accept the claim or apply skepticism? This scenario is analogous to the global flood claim.

Yes, someone in my immediate family has an eidetic memory, it’s really fascinating! However, that doesn’t make 6,000+ y/o bronze age mythology any truer. An event like a GLOBAL flood would absolutely leave physical evidence in the geo column- of which there is none. It is demonstrably untrue.

Ancient oral traditions during a time of utilizing mythology to pass down knowledge isn’t reliable evidence. A localized flood to a tribe of ancient Homo sapiens with no concept of Earth’s size would have them convinced it’s global. The geological column universally disagrees with a global flood.

Perhaps the only apocalypse that left no evidence!

Oh, wow! I didn’t know they were that far west. I wonder if they were planted by settlers from the east.

Yes, Cerioporus squamosus aka pheasant backs are edible but not desirable at this stage. The younger ones are much more tender.
