He doesn’t even know the role of the president in Ireland, thinks he can make sweeping changes to laws and rules. I always vote and if he gets on the ticket I might even get active in the local activism.

Agreed. I don’t think he even knows what our president does, he’s talking like he’ll have the same powers as the American president office. He has already said some things that are flat out wrong in how our president can handle things like dissolving the Dail.

I’m not sure he’ll even be able to a nomination over here, he needs like 20 TD’s to back him. If by some miracle he does, he’s not actually that popular here. No one I know will be voting for him.
