yea so the market is broken, which is my complaint. purely from a value perspective. it’s like speculative trading. but ultimately it’s not my money so whatever

and yea ik ppl say dodgers are in it to drive up the bid and stuff but in reality it’s really the Yankees’ desperation that’s driving up the price. idk if Mets is as desperate but for Yankees this is almost a must-have situation and that’s being preyed on, especially after the WS loss

who knows if he will get a higher AAV? plus his AAV shouldn’t even be close to ohtani’s since he’s half a player

I get he’s younger tho. but I think overall as a trend with the inflation.. yea I’m all for owners spending but this might have a suppression effect on the earnings of non-stars
