Something I really love about this movie is that it shows, visually and viscerally, is how it feels to use the Force. It never says it out loud, but that freeze frame at the start of the fight is the vision both Rey and Kylo saw that powers this whole middle act of the film.

I've said this elsewhere, but my headcanon is that Warlord Zsinj was the case study about whether or not a gigantic Star Destroyer could viably be a mobile capital for a stellar empire.
Of course, Zsinj had no idea he was playing the role assigned to him in a much bigger game.

Still, what would mark you as fanatically, hatefully loyal enough to merit recruitment as a loyalty officer? Enter the prologue of Squadrons, where the player character is betrayed by their commanding officer to prevent them from massacring Alderaanian refugees. It all fits pretty perfectly.

I'm not a huge Aftermath guy, but I'm grateful for those books for giving us the concept of an Imperial Loyalty Officer. That, and the PC's eventual association with the (headcanon: Exegol-linked) Secret Order of the Emperor makes the campaign story make sense:

This design includes the Jedi Temple! That's the genius of it, as the Temple was five years away from even existing. It's the Jedi Temple with a giant Sith pyramid dropped on top.

I always read him on some level as subservient character, which maybe contributed to me eventually headcanoning the player character from the XW/TF/XvT/Squadrons series as a minor aristocrat. The X-Wing Alliance total conversion mod is the bigger contributor to this.

I have never until this moment thought to look up this guy's rank He's a major, which tracks as the XO of a fighter wing.

It's fun to watch this guy discover the 90s EU through TIE Fighter. I think XW drew some inspiration from the WEG guides and the pre-Zahn EU, but TF really enjoyed having Coruscant and Thrawn on center stage. I STILL maintain that this is the best version of the Imperial palace in Legends or Canon.

Imagine dressing Oscar Isaac in his TROS fit, sending him to a desert to find an ancient Sith artifact, and then putting a magic knife in a tunnel instead of a buried Sith temple with heavy The Last Crusade atmosphere.

Headcanon: they've been building the Sith Eternal fleet for generations. This is the secret treasure of the entire legacy of the Sith. The Imperial-class is based on the Xyston-class, not the other way around.
