This is only about to get worse as global warming and eucalliptus plantations are growing. Cities like Vigo had been working on belts with native trees that prevent fire spreading, as they keep the ground humidity below them.

Every summer we have fires around here spreading from south to north by the eucalliptus monocultives. Every 3 to 5 years we have a extreme version putting lifes and houses at risk. www.atlantico.net/mundo/video-...

For me, It is about time to ask our politicians to quit fueling X, especially when they are informing of elected positions and public responsibilities.
