Well we'll have to see. Given what other media organisations have done I think this is where the BBC will pivot hard to the right and start gaslighting the public for Trump and people like him.

Unfortunately that results in votes for far-right parties in the UK because the media controls voters.
November 11, 2025 at 3:03 PM
It'll be in the US courts which Trump controls. It might not directly affect their UK operations but it will affect global operations and our politicians will bend over backwards to appease Trump. I expect that withing the next 10 years we'll no longer have an independent public broadcaster.
November 11, 2025 at 12:57 AM
For me the most frustrating thing is that because they've not been wholly liberal, they get attacked by liberals as much as they get attacked by people on the right.

But the end result is that it's now going to be forced to pander entirely to the far-right. There's almost no liberal media left.
November 10, 2025 at 9:11 PM
How can we resist at this point? Our politicians and courts won't stand up to him and almost all of our media is already completely hijacked by the far-right.

At this point I'm looking at options for moving out of the UK because there's no way we can turn this round. The far-right are winning.
November 10, 2025 at 9:04 PM
The problem is they won't win in US courts, and then the US will apply restrictions and penalties to them that damage them around the world. US courts are already hijacked by his politics.

And UK politicians and courts and too afraid to stand up to the US or Trump.

We're screwed.
November 10, 2025 at 9:02 PM
Unfortunately it's too late. Even people on the left have attacked the BBC any time the BBC wrote an article that leaned right.

We're now at a point where the BBC is going to have to move fully to the right or it will get crushed. It's time for left wing people to move out of the UK to survive.
November 10, 2025 at 8:59 PM
Of course he is. The BBC for all it's faults is one of the media organisations that doesn't spend every moment pandering to the far-right.

He's able to force US news agencies to have government appointed censors, but can't do that for he BBC... yet.
November 10, 2025 at 8:56 PM
Zack, what are you going to do about the fact that practically all of the media in the UK is now pandering to the far-right?

Assuming they don't manage to keep Greens out of power - which they will try to do - how will you look to fix far-right billionaires controlling the narrative?
November 10, 2025 at 8:52 PM
The problem is though that the widespread opposition to the BBC is now being used to force it into adopting a far-right position on all issues. Trump is now reaching across trying to force them to capitulate too.

At this point almost all of the media is pandering to the far-right.

We're screwed.
November 10, 2025 at 8:50 PM
We now shift one step closer to the entirety of British media gaslighting the public into supporting far-right extremists. And we were already 90% of the way there.

Now apparently stating the objective and undeniable fact that Trump incited violence is not something the media can publish.
November 9, 2025 at 7:55 PM
I somewhat agree with the last part. The problem is though that rather than engage in adult politics, a lot of what Labour has done is chase the far-right vote, which isn't adult politics.

They need to spend way less time vilifying minorities they should be supporting otherwise they're toast.
November 9, 2025 at 1:17 PM
I guess the real problem is though that the vote allowed retail investors to vote and most of them are the meme stock buyers that Elon appeals to on the right. They don't really think about the long term viability of Tesla, just about their feelings towards him.
November 8, 2025 at 7:45 PM
The crazy thing is that on paper I should be a Tesla customer, and yet with him involved there's no chance I ever would be. And pretty much everyone I know feels the same way.

He's irreparably harmed what he brings to the brand and they'll continue to be overtaken if the keep him on board.
November 8, 2025 at 7:45 PM
It's because it's massively corrupt. I know people that live there and the corruption is brazen, to the point that people know that they have to make "donations" to the right pockets to get things moving.

It's what Trump is turning to the US into. Recent payments for pardons highlights this.
November 8, 2025 at 7:42 PM
And let's be clear, I'm not "attacking" anyone. I made a perfectly reasonable point and came back to a wall of notifications of a Reform shill account lobbing attacks and accusations at me. The fact that you support them says a heck of a lot more about you than about me.
November 8, 2025 at 7:38 PM
🤣🤣 Oh look, another one that can't have a rational discussion.

All you can do is block and run away because you can't accept the reality that when you call everyone who even remotely disagrees with you a "simp" or ""bot", you're not going to end up with good politics.
November 8, 2025 at 7:36 PM
When you can't accept that kids breakfast clubs, cutting NHS waiting times and improving employment rights for example are good things then all you're doing is bolstering support for Reform who thrive on the hyperbole and the belief that everything is currently being done wrong with zero exceptions.
November 8, 2025 at 7:34 PM
I know a lot about politics actually, and chances are we align well on most things.

I just think it's funny when people who follow Farage and call everyone that disagrees with them a bot has the nerve to wine about "simps" - a misogynistic hate term propagated by the far-right.
November 8, 2025 at 7:32 PM
It's worth noting though that what they call a "Labour simp" is anyone that accepts that Labour have done some good things.

Apparently if you don't sign up with the MSM and Farage's view that everything Labour does is wrong, that makes you a Labour simp, even if you're a green voter 🤣
November 8, 2025 at 7:26 PM
I loved this episode. We need to see more of Zack. If he got as much coverage as Farage gets across the media then the message of sensible politics built on hope, not fear, would prevail.
November 8, 2025 at 7:16 PM
I don't know if you genuinely think you're helping left-wing causes of if you are just another Reform shill pretending to be on the left, but the end result of your viewpoint is Farage as PM. If that's not what you want then you need to seriously rethink your approach.
November 8, 2025 at 7:04 PM
I already have. Pretending that Labour are doing EVERYTHING wrong only plays into the hands of the media and Reform who gain support using exactly that fear to drive their agenda.

I'm openly supporting Greens but I accept that Labour have done some things right, and we should support those things.
November 8, 2025 at 7:04 PM
Again claiming I'm a bot.

And no, what a human would know is that you *claim* to be trans while you're on multiple flagged lists for being a conservative and Trump supporting, that you're account is labelled as "vile" and that you openly repeat Reform propaganda.

You're here to attack people.
