You just need to make a pathetic, slightly sobbing declaration of it.

As a society, we must become even more critical when it comes to how we process media. The words “this is not remotely controversial, or extreme,” were very specifically chosen. We need to reject this kind of linguistic downplaying in an effort to deflect critique and further normalize discord.
