Whether individually or through organizations like @vonavoices, we are trying. It’s not easy. But there are so many voices out there that aren’t making it through the literary gates. And I hope one day omitting marginalized voices such as Palestinians will be impossible.

I wasn’t clear. I meant there are so many more out there that aren’t yet published. There ARE great Palestinian writers but more should be published.

I and so many others are trying to change the landscape of literature by mentoring as many BIPOC writers, including those of Palestinian descent.

I know there are good (and amazing) Palestinian authors published globally. I am saying there is gatekeeping in the U.S., and MORE should be published.
