Today the Jack Russell-Fox Terrier learned a valuable life lesson: never mess with a mamma cat in the same small room where she has stashed her kittens.
Amazingly, the kittens slept through the whole altercation.

Our newfound cat hat 4 kittens yesterday and it's amazing how much that brightens up a day. 😍

Went to the florist to buy MIL's 70th birthday flowers the other day and came home with a very sweet, very young, very pregnant stray cat. Don't know why people think driving unwanted cats out to a village and tossing them out of the car is anything but cruel and heartless.

The colors are off, it's missing the silver foil holograms, and the paper feels wrong, but the lights were low and Spouse is the opposite of a highly sensitive person, so, yep, he was successfully passed a fake 20. Until he tried to pay with it somewhere else the next day. Embarrassing.

I (accidentally) manged to buy gluten free baker's yeast, lol.

Not surprised it exists (why would the yeast producers put wheat in their cultures?), only surprised that they bothered to label it. Who is going to use this kind of yeast for anything but baking?

That's definitely Photoshop for the win. We should all be Banksy right now.

It turned out to be a meal-sized orange, but at this point I was wondering if I hadn't in fact bought a pumpkin.

Luckily, the dog is off-white, so we have less chance of losing him later, when we go for a walk.

My friend Irene always sends the best stamps with her Christmas card. It's always worth the wait (it takes forever for things to get here from there).

Gingerbread houses in a shop window downtown. Aren't they all great?

Is this not the coolest Xmas card ever? A pop up of the cathedral in Aachen.

My latest accomplishment: getting the jello ring out of the mold, woot! (Actually it was agar, because vegetarian.)

Some things happen only once in a lifetime, and today... we picked up our new kitchen and hallway floor tiles. They'll be a vast improvement on the dirt-colored ones! No idea who chose them nor what they were thinking. But now I have to wait 3-4 months before we can install the new ones.
