@gnahraf.bsky.social Actually, it might be only your Maven version. Quarkus needs at least Maven 3.8.6+. In the book, we recommend Maven 3.9.8+. I am able to reproduce this error on Maven <= 3.6.3.

Hey @tomvanwemmel.bsky.social, this is a decision made by the Kafka integrators in Quarkus. But you can opt out if you need - quarkus.io/guides/kafka.... Would that work for you?
