Bottom line: Christian nationalism runs freely in the American church because a prayer-less generation of believers has grown impatient with God,, and has bartered the cross and the Sermon on the Mount for someone else to act on our behalf.

One of the greatest threats to the Church, (and hence the world to which the Church is called to be "salt" and "light") is that we would lose our will to distinguish evil - within ourselves, and within the "lesser of evils".
