Or they’re just powerless. You’d have to fight tooth and nail in Neukölln just to catch some kids with a few illegal fireworks to confiscate… just not worth it :(

There are certain areas in Berlin I would not go without a flak jacket and some countermeasures during NYE. Rockets go sideways, illegal polish firecrackers blow your eardrums out and equally illegal gas pistols shoot fireworks in your face. So horrible.

I find it’s actually better than any pizza I’ve had in 2y of living in Naples as well - dough is top notch, ingredients are simple and of high quality, execution is perfect… can’t do better in Naples old town :)

Berlin has the best pizza in the world IMO. And I have tried a lot of pizzas all over the world. You will find it here, just chose one of the Margherita versions. They all rock!

I joined tentatively after about 2y of Twabstinence. Not sure I’ll stick around, gotta monitor the amount of attention it takes up. I kinda liked not being informed about current events tbh…

Haven’t been back since I was little. Probably some 30 years ago. But in my memory it was something I would really enjoy today. The water was always so clear and nice. The island of Mainau has loads of flowers (sooo boring when you’re 10 😅)

I used to go ti Lake Constance a lot as a kid to visit family - so pretty, although I didn’t appreciate it much back then. Soooo many boring walks. 😅

Yes and that was what attracted us to this region. Maybe in some way it is an “easier” way into the country than being dropped from Köln Mühlheim or wherever directly into Delhi center 😅

I basically did the opposite - avoided the north and started with Kerala due to an article in Süddeutsche Zeitung (I think) about the “socialist paradise”… it’s not quite that but there are so many metrics by which people here are better off than the Average Indian. Still, I’d love to see the rest!

Thanks and have fun! I found India to be a beautiful, lovely chaotic, friendly, warm, yummy, social kind of place. But I have only seen a tiny part of it yet. Would love to know what your expectations and wishes were before you came to Germany vs your actual experience once you were there!

My cousin got married in that city hall building - they have a beautiful room which is a few hundred years old, cute little town!
