Reformed Conservative who'll never vote for today's Conservatives

Peterborough, Ont. Canada
Put into perspective...

Minimum wage = $7.50/hr

40 hrs/week x 50 weeks = $15,000/yr (before deductions)

$15,000 x 4.3% = $645.00

$645.00 ÷ 50 weeks = $12.90/week

But that's all butt💩...

That's NOT how economic growth affects individual income

Don't fall for GOP lies

They don't care about YOU
Dear Americans….
Yes, they DO believe you’re this stupid.
Please let them know it’s not working on at least SOME of you.

If you oppose the use of "Happy Holidays" instead of "Merry Christmas" on...

'Religious Grounds'

Are you really a true believer in the teachings of Jesus &/or the Bible?

FIFA 2026 World Cup

What political/financial impact would a boycott (teams & fans) of games played in the USA

$100's of millions, if not $Billions in lost revenue for the US economy

It'd be safer for athletes & travelers

I won't be watching ANY games played on USA soil in 2026

It's amazing the love & attachment we have with our fur-babies

To many, our "pets" mean as much to us, as our actual children

When fur-babies pass, the loss is deep & painful

Today, my family said goodbye to our 16 1/2 yr old Siamese cat, Skittles

Rest easy girl
You'll be missed

Re: MPs crossing the aisle

1) MPs represent PEOPLE not party

2) MPs ALIGN with a party that represents constitutes best interest & goals

3) If a party no longer represents constitutes best interests & goals, it's time for the MP to leave that party

It isn't new nor illegal

2 soldiers (who shouldn't have been there) were shot in D.C., and Trump's reaction is to send more troops

Kids are shot in schools (where they belong) almost every day, and all the government sends is "Thoughts & Prayers"

Is it just me, or is that as fu€ked up as I think it is?

Today's thought:

As party leader, Poilievre controlled every #CPC_HQ member vote in the HoC

Why, for the 2025 Budget vote, did 2 of his MPs abstain from voting, ensuring the budget would pass?

#CPC_HQ knew if a snap election happened, Liberals would win a majority

Once again:
Party over Country

At the 11th hour, of the 11th day, of the 11th month, take a moment of silence to remember those who didn't come back from war and those who came back forever changed

If you love your freedom, take a moment to say a prayer for those who sacrificed so much for loved ones back home

Today's thought:

2025 budget debate

Poilievre proves he doesn't care about Canada/Canadians, just negativity & scoring political points

Railing about deficit spending, when #CPC_HQ is MASTER of deficit spending, is the epitome of hypocrisy

It's spending for the future, not tax breaks for wealthy

Many right-wing supporters hate Liberals because they are educated...

But they always seem to forget that conservative politicians, their employers, and 99.9% of wealthy elites are HIGHLY educated

They can't see their own hypocrisy b/c of their steady diet of conservative propaganda indoctrination

Today's Thought:

The difference between PMMC & Pierre Poilievre

PMMC tells Trump what Trump wants to hear but isn't giving him what he wants

Pierre Poilievre would have given Trump everything he wanted and told Canadians it was in their best interest just to become Governor of the 51st state

I may catch hate, IDK

Re CRA automatic tax filing for SOME people

My MIL is retired, her CPP is $1,247.00/month ($14,960.00/yr)

She has to pay $62.15 to get her taxes filed

No tax refund/payment ever - she doesn't make enough $

I'm GOOD with those who qualify for this option

Older homeowners aren't selling their large homes & downsizing

Why?

Their house was NEVER intended as an investment

It's HOME

They bought at market value

Lived there 25yrs+

The property value increased through no action of the owner

To sell now would cost too much in taxes...

For the issue of "Speedcams" being cut down...

Here's a thought: Why not put up monitored CCTV cameras pointed at Speedcams, so if some does attempt to cut 1 down, police can be dispatched to arrest the vandals

In the long run, it would be cheaper & would teach people to obey the law

Today's thought:

Doug Ford's government gave "strong mayoral powers" to communities so mayors could bypass council

Now, Doug Ford is siding with law breakers & bypassing local bylaws, insisting communities "get rid of" speedcams

Doug Ford AGAIN is proving he doesn't care about citizens' safety

Just a thought:

Trump keeps saying/doing crazy 💩 to distract from ACTUAL bad 💩 that he & his administration do

That being said

What's happening in Britain with the Royals?

Why did they invite Trump for an "Official State Visit"?

Everybody knows the English & Royal family hate Trump, so why now?

It's back to school day & the school buses are out and about

Remember:

Today's parents are too busy trying to be their kids' friends, instead of parents...

Kids DON'T know enough not to run out into the street without looking

Drive safely, folks...

Today's Thought:

What's the difference between gender belief & religious belief?

Both are predicated on "personal belief"

Neither affects anyone's life, but the believer

Why's 'religious ideology' accepted/protected speech, but 'gender ideology isn't?'

Maybe gender ideology needs Mega-Donors...

#PierrePoilievre criticizing #MarkCarney & his cabinet for failing to accomplish anything is rich

Time line matters

#PierrePoilievre was in office 20 years - ZERO accomplishments

#MarkCarney has been PM for 18 days, his cabinet, less than a week

Less rage-farming would be more helpful to 🇨🇦ians

I just read an article about #PMMC press conference re: banning cars built before 2000, fines for illegal window tint & truck lift-kits that's been going around SM

Surprise, surprise...

AI generated fake video (most Canadians already knew) to agitate #CPC_HQ faithful

Easily tricked for clicks

Thought of the day

The federal government should amend MP candidate eligibility

1) A candidate MUST reside within the boundaries of the riding they are running to represent

2) A candidate MUST have resided in the riding they are running to represent at least 1 full year before election day

I just read an article reporting on the new Liberal government's agenda to control immigration by slowing yearly target levels, expelling people when their visa expires & speedy removal of failed asylum seekers
