No cheating. Your last saved celebrity photo is your therapist. Who is it?

I'm not sure this absolute unit is qualified, unfortunately.

POV: your new, old-school label maker doesn't have an "&" so you use a "7" to approximate a Tironian et.

I made a quill pen! There's definitely room for improvement 😂

For a little light heartedness, my friends and I are playing pick 3 fantasy conclave. Here are the rules if anyone is interested 😂 I'm going to ask about wild cards

I saw an owl on campus about 30 mins ago. Our mascot is the owl so it felt like a sign. Not sure what it is a sign of, but it feels positive. Go Owls!

When you're a bit extra and make professional-looking blackwork kits for your in-class Elizabethan fashion activity, and stitch a model with varying thicknesses. I hope my students appreciate me! 😂

I'm terrible at resolutions, so I'm doing a 2025 BINGO card instead. These include personal and professional goals/activities/improvements and I just need to get one BINGO to win! If I do a full blackout, I feel like I should get a really great prize, but I don't know what that would be.

I had a Little Debbie's Christmas Tree cake today after leading a Christmas craft at my public library. I haven't had one in these in at least 20 years, and they are so good. That's it, that's the post. 😂😂

Just as a bit of fun, I helped build my university's float for our city's Christmas parade. WE WON THE PARADE! I yelled so loud when we got the banner 😂 So here is our Grinch-themed float. I drew and painted Max the dog (someone else cut him out), and the top of the tree, and the wheels (unseem).

It's basically a picture of my puppup with wings. And I'll take any excuse to post a picture of my puppup 😂

Shameless self promotion! If you like off-color medieval images and you cross stitch, I have the perfect patterns for you! I also have more traditional patterns, but sometimes you just want to be silly. I am just finishing up a fourth that will be posted soon.

I went to a book-themed bachelorette party tonight with a PowerPoint presentation option, so I presented on Fabio! I'm not sure that anyone wants to see my top 10 Fabio book covers, but I guess like this post if you're interested.

This is the day Wicket followed me home from work. He was so sweet. We took him to the Humane Society to make sure he didn't belong to anyone, and a week later picked him up. He's the best good boy.

Shade or opportunism in this email from Princeton University Press? Either way, you can get Jorell Meléndez-Badillo's history of Puerto Rico for 30% off with the code PUP30

I assigned Hanawalt for the first time in ~7 years (I've assigned Bennett's Cecilia Penifader book), and I'd forgotten how good it is! It's just really good history and it teaches students about medieval English peasants, AND how to use sources and what a literature review is. An oldie but goodie!

Our science department brings a cat skeleton to recruitment events to attract students to their table, music brings drums, now we'll have a hoplite shield! I made these a while ago for class activities, but now one has info on it so it's self explanatory. Move over science there's a new kid in town!

I finally made more progress on my maximalist dining room gallery walls. I put up 31 pieces of art today, and it makes me so happy (I already had a few pieces on the big wall).

You‘ve been kidnapped. The characters from the last tv show you watched are trying to rescue you. Who is coming to save you?

I'm also in good hands, but they'll have to speak lentement because otherwise I won't understand them 😂

I went to Bryve Canyon, UT last weekend as a healing trip with my mom. We saw the Milky Way and it was pretty great

I had a student make one as part of his final research project. It didn't work all that well, but it was really fun to play around with
