I have done the same thing (delete and repost to edit). Earlier in the lifecycle of Bluesky they occasionally solicited feedback from users on the priorities for development of the platform. I can’t recall if editing is among them at this point, but will investigate

I haven’t seen a lot of discussion of control/centralization of social media, which must be a big part of this. (Also, I haven’t been avoiding news…) Aside from Meta & X channels, now both heavily influenced by US govt, TikTok was probably the next biggest media channel, and out of their control

Same. I think I’m okay at figuring out real vs. bot but the line is getting thin.
There are block lists you can subscribe to but they’re often very specific and you really need to trust the person making them (and hope they have a way to keep them up to date).
