.NET actually has a feature to generate code from regexes, it's a bit more boilerplate but it is plain code

Have you tried other compressions like zstd? Maybe even pretrain a dictionary as I assume each log entry has a bunch of common data.

Yeah it wasn't bad. I've binge rewatched the original Dexter since it's been a while, and this show tops some of the original seasons (which arguably isn't hard to do)
