Alright listen I get it this is like saying your favorite movie is Citizen Kane or something but man. Danielson is literally flawless. Everything he does is just so perfect, even his “bad” matches are good. Nobody has ever or will ever again do it like this guy. Shouts out to the American Dragon.

JOEY SAMOEY. Samoa Joe is just so goddamn cool. I think Joe may have one of the greatest movesets of all time (maybe behind Roddy?) also I messed up and forgot his match with Necro Butcher for my favorite matches section so uh. That should be on there it’s like one of my favorite matches ever.

Bull Nakano is my goat womens wrestler. Bridging the cal between two incredible eras for joshi wrestling, and sticking around long enough to face the goats from the generation after her. Her matches with Aja are legendary, and some of my all time favorite matches.

Aja Kong at 4! Being a standout of perhaps the best crop of talent in wrestling history is NOT to be ignored nor is her incredible resume. Aja is in the conversation for genuine greatest pro wrestler of all time, especially because of her insane longevity, she still goes hard just in a different way

Onto the top five now, and we start with the bread man himself! I think Kojima sometimes doesn’t get the flowers he truly deserves, and is occasionally just written off as “right place right time.” Which couldn’t be further from the truth. Kojima fucking rules.

6: Bruiser Brody is perhaps the best at the wild brawling style, and not a day goes by that I don’t wonder what could’ve been. His team with Stan Hansen is one of the all time greats, and he had some very underrated singles matches beyond the wild bloody brawls… but those are still the best.

7: Eddie is amazing and stepped up a gear in AEW, it feels like everything he touches turns to gold. He even dragged a halfway decent match out of Y2J and that’s an accomplishmen. I still need to do a deeper dive into his earlier work, and he just may move up the list once I do.

8: Manami Toyota. One of the very greatest wrestlers of all time, regardless of gender. Toyota did things decades ago that would drive people insane now. I think that if this was a more objective list of “best” wrestlers she’d be top five at least.

9 is Mick Foley. What am I supposed to say about Mick that hasn’t already been said? Cactus Jack is his best gimmick, that Falls Count Anywhere match with Sting is brilliant, and he’s one of the best deathmatch guys of all time.

Number 10 is my favorite luchador, Blue Panther. Discovered him through the Danielson match, and fell in love. His mascara contra mascara match agaisnt Villano V will probably be here once I watch it but I haven’t because I’m scared it will make me cry.

Takeshita is so good that I genuinely forget he’s only 30 and isn’t an industry vet. He’s everything you could want from a guy at the top of the card, and I can’t wait to see him truly become a main eventer soon.
