Actually, this is the exact argument of the proponents of client side scanning. To be clear, the proposal breaks the security guarantees E2EE is designed to provide: the adversary can look at the messages in transit: albeit not while on the wire, but instead before they enter the envelope.

Tsja.. het zijn natuurlijk niet HUN patiënten; ze voeren enkel analyses uit in opdracht van zorgverleners. Als je jou redenering volgt zou iedere partij die diensten verleend aan zorgverleners het BSN moeten opslaan ;-)

P.S.: Genuine Q: what is the benefit of moving away from iCloud, Apple's Calendar, Reminders, Notes, Safari etc, if you keep using Apple devices / MacOS, especially if you enable Advanced Data Protection (which prevents Apple from accessing the data). Or is the plan to ditch the devices afterwards?

I was about to suggest the same. It appears up to date in my area (though I so far have been relying on Apple Maps for the traffic info). And it's great for hiking with its offline mode.
