PR yes, STV no. I don't want to wait 3 days for the results.

Multi member (6+) seats elected by D'Hondt works for me. It's good enough for Wales, after all.

Will the last Labour voter please turn off the lights.

His policies are incoherent. Blocking the development of new natural gas fields while simultaneously funding new build CCGT power plants and blue hydrogen projects.

Much better to import LNG from Qatar.

I wish people would stop saying carbon when they mean carbon dioxide.

We aren't spewing diamonds or graphite into the atmosphere.

Also, fast track ticket barriers at railway stations for those of us who are old school and use paper tickets, so we don't get stuck behind people waving their phones about.

41 years? Luxury. Newcastle haven't won a European trophy for 56 years (and counting) and until a few weeks ago had won nothing for that time.

Don't forget the £22 bn committed to CCS. And that is just for the first tranche. Tens of bn more for full roll-out. Plus funding for Green Hydrogen.

While I am fully supportive, it is a big pot of cash for Reform to target.
May 27, 2025 at 5:20 PM
If you are against costly gas imports then you should support exploration and development of new fields in the North Sea. The new build CCGT power plants and blue hydrogen plants being part funded by government as part of the pathway to Net Zero will require natural gas for decades to come.
