I'm admittedly pretty dang cautious of any account asking for money for any reason, and yeah, there's definitely scammers. But plenty are legit and man, I wish Bluesky would leave them alone. Palestinians are dying. We can donate or not, but don't punish them for asking for help. I signed.

Fist four pages of pencils. You can see how much changed on page four. It was so much work and I was like, hey maybe don't go insanely hard for every single page, just give yourself this one break of not making an actual full painting for the bg.

A sparkling golden chandelier hangs in the middle of the room, and a curtain is hung artfully at the side of the image. He is in his patron’s home, and is painting yet another portrait of her. It is the fourth such painting of her as that goddess, and he’s running out of flowers to add. The chickadee has flown away, and Lark’s face is turned away from us, towards the outside world. The caption on the final page says, “Being a kept bird” Lark stands in front of a mural he is currently working on, of a sphinx resting beneath a tree with a bouquet of flowers at her feet. The rest of the painting is half-finished, with patches of unpainted blue wall beneath it, sketched with his plans for those patches. A waterfall winds and drops down directly behind him, between stone walls. He is gesticulating and smiling wildly to an audience that seems captivated with him. His patron is growing annoyed. He is meant to be an ornament, a part of her collection. The caption on the final says, “Bright and colorful”
