I watch long videos, Veritasium, lectures, stand-ups, trailers and indie-creators on #YouTube.

I (wanna) listen to shared playlists, rock, jazz, Bollywood, EDM and Hans Zimmer on #youtubemusic.

Why the hell do they have common history, playlists, recommendations and settings?

AI for customer support script: Turn your fixed menu options into slow chat reposnes, remove "send this message to a person" option. Money savings!

PS: actual customer support happens on Twitter.

A month can be 28/29/30/31 days, a day is 24 hours, an hour is 60 minutes and a minute is 60 seconds.

Then why so many places refer to it like decimal. 2.5 months is easy to figure and so is 10.5 hours. But it's weird beyond that like 2.8 months or 10.6 hours.

Naming your variables and functions properly in your code is important, that's how others will find it easier to read it.

> But LLM agent will code for me!

LLM needs context, its better with right naming.

Opened #Facebook after a very long time. The feed is full of "suggested posts" from accounts I haven't interacted with. If it's such rubbish, why not just browse #reddit for content from total strangers.

Mobile websites of most online stuff you use are quite great, e.g. Twitter, YouTube, Bluesky, news papers and banks. You don't really need all invasive, notification ridden apps.

Just watched "Common People" #BlackMirror S7E1, and it brilliantly exposes the dark patterns of monopolies:

* Bait and switch
* Free trial traps
* Hidden fees
* Proprietary lock-in
* Drip pricing
* Privacy invasion
* Subscription traps

I was left with a mix of rage and sadness I never expected.

A wonderful history of flash games here: www.flashgamehistory.com

Flash games were awesome and explored ground breaking ideas about games and story telling! I remember a time when they were the only games I played.

How Flash games shaped the video game industry
Flash is dead. But the influence of Flash games on modern gameplay is inescapable.

Interesting question that wraps your mind. What was the actual money spent for the stock market valuation?

So vibe coding is a thing now and developer productivity isn't tied (somewhat) to the language or framework they are using.

Will we now see more native apps that don't hog CPU and RAM? Will we?

Claude is able to generate images of the Sun and the Earth in proper proportions. Other AI image generators simply draw artistic images but fail at proportions. Earth is not visible in the image by Claude because its so small compared to the Sun.
