Yes, I’ve made my job my whole personality.
I’m always entertained by their meltdowns over not being able to afford help here [in the Netherlands] 😅

I’ve been sober for a year now and I was shocked at how much this change affected everyone around me. To the point that a friend was upset that she brought a bottle of bubbly to celebrate and was insistent I have one glass at least. WTF?!

I’m a B + Z.

After years of using headphones and AirPods for WFH, I’ve grown tired of them. I often run or walk while listening to music or podcasts, which made me feel like I was constantly “switched on” 😅

Laptop speaker/mic combo is my way of reclaiming back control - a little.

3/ The hardest part wasn’t giving up alcohol—it was the discomfort my decision created for the people around me. I mean, I haven’t changed; I just don’t feel like a glass of bubbly with my eggs benny during brunch, anymore.

2/ What I didn’t expect was how much my choice to stop drinking would affect others. Friends and acquaintances often asked, “Are you still not drinking?” like it should be temporary. The truth? I just didn’t feel like drinking anymore and couldn’t think of a good reason why I should.
