I feel like this would give me such strong depression. Seeing this facsimile of a loved one that may look and act near enough to the real thing. But there would always be something off. And either the dissonance would unnerve the hell out of me or my real memories would start to get overridden.

I'm going to support the primary challengers to Newsom in the hope that he'll be taken down. But if the only options on the ballot are a flood or a stopgap, I'd rather people pick the stopgap.

Where have I ever "celebrated" Newsom? Especially recently? Yes, in the primaries, vote for the leftist lefty you can find. Yes, build up a viable third option as much as you can. But when election time comes around next year, in nearly all federal seats there's gonna be an R or a D in power.
