Historically, you only need 3.5% of the population to protest to topple a regime. The 3.5% represents the people who aren’t scared, and gives courage to others to stand up in their personal lives.

There’s probably a lot of give or take in these estimates. Alt NPS is estimating 12.1M now and I think Chicago was undercounted. They reported 75K which is basically a Soldier Field concert crowd and there were substantially more than that.

Boston combined the No Kings and Pride parade, which I have no problem with given then extremely overlapping demographic.

During Covid, I read medical journals and other documents linked by the CDC so I understood what protocols and supplies were needed to continue working through the pandemic. I can’t tell you how frustrating it was to be sent links to mommy blogs being touted as fact over doctors at Harvard.

I don’t even live in LS. I came from another neighborhood just to hang out for a few hours. Eating on a patio is so much more enjoyable when people are outside playing live music and chalking the street.

Every single business in the square was being patronized this weekend. When I was there Sunday, the Bookcellar and all the surrounding cafes and restaurants were full.

Pritzker inherited his billions. While he is a successful businessman in his own right, he and his family are known for their philanthropy. He’s good people.

Governor holds more power than a senate seat for IL. We have no term limits, so we don’t need to push him to the senate.

A lot of us said that in Illinois before he became our governor but he has done a phenomenal job and is a fine human. JB was raised right despite his privilege, and we shouldn’t hold that against him. You can ask so many people that have had interactions with him, he’s genuine and he cares.

Yes. When Trump was seizing supply shipments and sending some to Putin, JB personally arranged for medical supplies to be flown in from China through private jets.
