(Viking Zoro, 2023)

A culture-bend assignment by Artgerm! I chose to do Zoro in a Viking culture, though it was definitely hard to do this sort of lighting and even portray Zoro's face. I feel the planning could've been better haha

A few days late, but here's my 2nd month performance report!

$0 revenue.
6/10 rating.

A lesson from me:

Radical accountability isn't about flawless execution.

It's about honest evaluation of reality versus assumptions—and using that gap as your navigation system.

(King Bowser, 2023)

A Creature-Bend assignment by Artgerm. Definitely had a lot of fun with this assignment as a lot of different knowledge became application with this one such as anatomy, armor rendering, etc. Huge thanks to Artgerm for his guidance~

(Metal Ball Study, 2023)

One of my favorite exercises from Artgerm as it helped reinforce my understanding of how metal rendering works, especially chrome~

(Sshhh, 2023)

A Ken Kaneki fanart I did before~ Of course, many things could be improved now knowing what I know now, but pretty proud of how I rendered this especially since I was still learning how to render back then~

Supposedly, Einstein said we can't solve problems with the same thinking that created them.

Waking up at 7:00 A.M. reminded me of that.

(Justice from Shadowscapes, 2022)

The longest study I did back in 2022. Was pretty daunting to capture all the details made by the amazing Stephanie Law but I think it turned out well!

(Zagreus, 2022)

This was the very first study I did after getting an art tablet for the first time. Super proud I was able to do a study like this :)

(Eurydice, 2022)

Wanted to post this study I did of Eurydice with the release of Hades 2 recently. One day I'll play the sequel and 100% it just like the last game :)

How much can you do in 30 days?

Below is an overview of what I've done :)

I used to not care about newsletters and emails.

Until I experienced why it was actually the best platform for personal brands.

(Kirby NOM, 2023)

An assignment from back then in Artgerm's class :) This me realize the importance of knowing the subject's environment since it determines what lighting your subject will have

A download I received while taking a walk.

From a creator's POV, you might think you're spamming content on social media too much. But from a consumer's POV, they follow a lot more people than just you. Your post may just be one among many in their feed.

So, post more.

2:30 P.M. Study of @choomoranma's Work

---

Was planning to do an everyday style study but this took 3 hours haha. Might have to reevaluate if I can do one everyday since the plan was a 60 min study only D:

Today's download:

Take a step back and see the bigger picture. You might just be losing focus on what's important.

You can see that in the 1st picture (bottom) where I tried bringing out the form from my previous attempt (2nd pic bottom) and making everything too detailed and contrasty~

Day 15 of creating the Artist's Skill Tree in public:

📌Cleaned emails
📌Collected potential studies for a new content I'm thinking of doing
📌Allowed my brain to rest to obtain downloads throughout the day

And most importantly
📌Spent time with fam on a Sunday

Basically a Marie Kondo day today~

I remember mentally taking note of when I should finish my website.

I couldn't have been more wrong about it LOL

As I finish up my "Art Commission" section, I realize how many factors are at play:

Today's short daily report has been completing the "1-on-1" section and finishing up the "Art Commission" section.

It's been fun thinking of expected questions and the process of doing an art commission :)

Today's—technically yesterday's—daily progress report is all about UX, or user experience.

My main focus was: Make it easy to navigate my website, and make it easy to pay.
September 23, 2025 at 6:52 AM
Some progress reports on me building my website :)

Pretty proud that I've done a lotta art~

Some people cringe when looking back at their past works. For me, I'm pretty proud of past me, cause he did the best he could with what he knew back then :)

I finished reading @austinkleon's two books, "Steal like an Artist!" and "Show Your Work!" and below are my favorite sections from them.
