Really wish someone would do a modern remake of Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri with updated graphics and some QoL improvements and that's it. Peak of the genre IMO. It's been downhill since.

Yeah, I don't think it should be offered as the only option, but to me it's certainly one of the safer ones.

It's the only method of age verification that I'll go through. There's no way I'm providing biometric data (e.g. face scan) to random age verification companies.
I can easily get a new credit card if it were to be stolen. I can't get a new face.

So very relatable to my own experience, though I came quite late - most of my playing experience was late BC/WotLK. My guild disbanded around the launch of Cataclysm and I lost my interest in it at that point. It really was the camaraderie that made it.
