I really enjoyed reading Shedler’s criticism towards the evidence-based approach- he’s calling out the lack of transparency and the reductive nature of this attempt to develop a universal script/manual for therapy. I appreciate his sharp voice in the writing too!

Besides the question of ethical conduct, I think it is a risky practice for a therapist to share their session notes with the patient, especially considering there are better ways to provide feedbacks. @drwilliamsharp.bsky.social
