To me it seems like letting perfect be the enemy of good. I’m not a career politician but given how shitty the GOP is, taking what you can get when it will help even a little is worth it.

The more people in a future democratic primary that are pro trans rights the easier it will be to shift the whole party further left. Especially a big name like Newsom. I don’t like the guy and hope he’s not the eventual nominee but I hope he is on a primary stage advocating for Trans rights.

Honestly it is really fun as a solo player. Sometimes being diplomatic fails but I have definitely had it be more success than failure in my ~40hrs of play time.

The real challenge will be how do the Dems respond when the GOP goes to remove the filibuster so they can pass unpopular bills like national abortion bans or other horrible shit. That one will matter how much of a fit they throw and how they fight back to not allow it.

Does it do anything though? The nominees get past the committee because they are GOP majority. Nominees also only need 51 votes or 50 with Vance. GOP have 53. So Dems could throw a fit. They can vote NO which appears to be true. The nominees still get approved. I am confused on the ask here I guess.
