This finding extended previous work on cognitive effort (doi.org/10.1016/j.co...), and we additionally quantified the subjective value of progress feedback. An exploratory analysis showed that people with higher social apathy scores were less progress-seeking 🤔 (3/3)

We developed the Ore Mining Task, where people made alternating button clicks to lift valuable minerals. Participants were offered two stations to work in, one with a progress bar and one without. Modelling suggested that people were willing to work more in exchange for progress feedback… (2/3)
