the desire to draw more consistently is at odds with my need to lay motionless in my bed hoping some donnie darko-esque tragedy ends me before i have to pay rent in two weeks, which seems more likely with all the changes to the FAA recently

it’s wild that ⚪️ “liberals” are surprised that targeted governmental abuse of power & predatory policies that keep workers from upward mobility — the things immigrants/POC/the marginalized have endured in this country for hundreds of years — is now being directed at them

but then again i’m used to drawing for multi-paneled comics & zines where i can be more expressive, detailed, and maximalist

as in: focusing way too much on the background and it’s leading to wasted energy due to the details — its taking away from the dialogue & character expression
time to study more strips & figure it out
