There's a tiny hole on the back- it's the reset button. You'll need a toothpick or something to reach it. Have you tried holding it down for 10 seconds to reset the controller?

I remember wheb youtube briefly had a feature where you could thumb up or down an ad. There was a pc building ad with really fucking annoying background music and I swear to god, it started appearing more often after I thumbed it down a few times
