i remember rushing home from school in the 80’s to watch him in a silly sitcom ‘struck by lightning’ which he played ‘frankensteins monster’ don’t think it lasted very long!

don’t think you said it was actually a remake of a George Arliss & Margret Lockwood 1937 feature, which the titular captss as in gets away yo freedom.

and i think ‘rosemary the telephone operator’ was also the same voice as ‘wilma flintstone’

special mention to our own Bob (Monkhouse) who was in the the original ‘carry on’ (Sergeant)

it’s a tiny rail way bridge near the market in Castleford, i remember asking my dad why it it was so called, he looked at me earnestly and shook his head and said ‘you’re nearly 30 if you don’t know now i doubt you ever will’

back in the late 80’s early 90’s there used to be a guy called Alan Kent, he’d pack local venues in around west Yorkshire,
he’d play ‘music man’ ‘penny arcade’ proper kids party tunes and we loved it back then! real party atmosphere at the Eightland Wells in Dewsbury on a Sunday night!
