A couple odd rest days and some of mom’s homemade chili are all it takes to turn me into The Destroyer apparently. Great training session overall. I might have tweaked a couple things over all, but this was one for the books.

This was a quick session from before traveling to PAX. I had the good fortune to run into my buddy Roy who told me I looked like a Wolverine Variant. 😂

Killer day today, and also got to run into an old friend of mine who’s getting back into the swing of things. I was more than happy to share the energy!

Training after a travel day and a long day beforehand, so fairly “subdued” for a training session but still showed up. Honestly don’t have a lot to say about this one, I’d say the thing that showed through here most was the value of Mental Toughness.

Sat in traffic for like two hours, managed to pull this off. I was honestly pretty chill for this training session, I moved at a super measured pace. I wasn’t expecting to be super high energy after sitting for that long, I’m just glad the diesel was there when needed.

Managed to get some great sets in, but also had the wisdom to reel it in a bit on some of the later sets. I’ll always swing for the fences on the opening set of an exercise, but I was feeling the fatigue from yesterday. Always have the “just one more” mindset regardless of day!

Heavy training on Monday is the absolute best feeling and sets the tempo for the week imo. It’s easy to do “just one more” when that’s the bar. Really proud of the 535 row in particular, I had injured myself on that weight over a year ago so toppling that RPR pain feels amazing.

On one hand, I can endlessly nitpick my posing/weak points. On the other, it’s for giggles. I like to tell myself I would’ve excelled as a 60’s bodybuilder! Some great sets yesterday fueled by leftovers.
Non-fitness: Looking forward to Marvel Rivals, and I’ll be at PAX!

I’ve put a lot of effort in this year, I’m pretty proud of myself tbh. I’ve acquired new skills, I keep pushing my physical limits, I’ve done a lot of internal work. I just wonder when it’s gonna be Enough. Will post yesterday’s training after I sit here for a while.

Thanksgiving caloric surplus goes DUMMY. Most times when I’m training I’m really trying to push as hard as I can off maintenance calories or a little under. It’s not always efficient or fun, but it’s what I work with most typically. Surplus does happen, but not like Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving to all! I hope everyone has a nice day today, whether you’re celebrating with family, today is just a day off for you, or somewhere in between.
As far as the log, just something basic, felt good to move. Got it done early and now I can help in the kitchen!

Will never not hit this pose. Onto the log! I tend to bias reps, it’s a great way for me to sharpen my own discipline and also I’m used to typically maxing out or overmaxing a weight stack, so it became a habit. That’s translated into basically every movement I train.

Ngl this one was Hard. I still had enough discipline/energy to really reach for those extra reps and keep moving the ball forward, but I’m gonna be pretty slow tomorrow.
Not pictured: Cardio (stairs 5min, literally just for blood flow), calves, some lat raise sets.

Monster training session, absolutely killer. Last two days I couldn’t really reach into The Void or sink into The Zone, today everything just clicked.
I personally love having a day that’s focused on just arms, and I like to push my limits for arms just as hard as anything else.

Had to reach for this one tonight, did my best despite being semi-fasted and sitting in traffic 5ever. Not every training session shatters expectations, sometimes you just show up and that’s perfectly fine. I’m proud of what I got done, and I’m excited to build on it.

I often do my arm days at the “little gym” and while it sounds mocking, it’s the gym I’ve trained at the longest and I’ve got a lot of love for it. It’s a small, quiet space where I’ve seen a lot of people get their start! Max weight limits aside, it’s perfect for quick lifts.

Sometimes though, the light is just right and you snap a quick pic before your eyeballs roll out of your skull between sets.
