I like when it’s obvious when developers create things they enjoy, I rather something be made with love than half-assed to check a box. To me that includes high difficulty. I often think people try to beat the hard thing while complaining instead of considering it’s not *for* them.

I heard a streamer say recently “on day one people complain it’s too hard, then before the end of the week someone posts a vid of them beating it with a controller that’s bongos made out of coconuts and a singlet, and everyone learns by copying them”

I’m sure with regards to whole new games there’s people expressing differing opinions and it’s kinda the same. The “let people enjoy things” and “find what you do enjoy” falls flat with the people who felt like it was wasted potential.

Ok so, these points are why I liked neco arc in every game and didn’t feel like she was a “wasted character slot”. She’s for me, and people like me, not for everyone. It’s still difficult to express how she wasn’t a waste to people who feel she was though, I’ve just had to let people feel that way.
